BIG News! Meeting with City TONIGHT!

Lester Park has been getting some press lately, which is (hopefully) leading to progress and solutions, including monetary investments in at least 2 ways that involve YOU. Last month vandalism in parks led Ogden City to offer a $1000 reward for any information leading to finding out who has been vandalizing park restrooms. This has happened at several parks, but the worst abuse has been at the Lester Park facilities. Keep your eyes out and help us protect our parks!

In addition, RAMP funding will be awarded to Lester Park this year meaning we will get some big updates. The Parks and Recs department, along with the Police Department, are inviting neighbors like YOU to come share their vision on how to spend these funds at a meeting at Main Library TONIGHT, 6/12, at 6 pm. They will also be hoping to hear your creative solutions on how to minimize crime at the park. This is a meeting 3 years in the making, folks! It’s beyond exciting to have this opportunity to share face-to-face what we believe will help our neighborhood in this valuable, natural setting. Clearly, this park needs some positive change and more use by people who will respect it. Please come and bring a friend to share ways this park can be a place where we can all thrive together! There is power in numbers and we want to show the city the truth – we care about Lester Park! See you there!
